The following information is from the National Roll of the Great War for Manchester.
MAGNALL, H., Staff Sergt., R.A.M.C. He volunteered in August 1914, and was retained on important duties at various stations in England until February 1916, when he was drafted to Mesopotamia. There he was present at the engagements at Kut, Sanna-i-Yat, Samaria and Khan Baghdadie, before being transferred to Egypt in March 1918. He finally returned home for demobilisation in June 1919, and holds the General Service and Victory Medals. 29, St Saviour Street, Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester. |
