Mark was born in about 1810 in Anglezark, son of Robert (JM018) and Jane Derbishire (JM019). He was baptised on the 28th January 1810 at Rivington Presbyterian Church.

The 1841 Census shows that Mark was living at Latham’s in Rivington with his parents, he was working as a quarryman.

The family had moved to Jepson’s Farm in Rivington by the time of the 1851 Census and Mark was now working as an Agricultural Labourer, presumably for his father. He was still living with his father at Jepson’s Farm and working as an Ag.Lab. at the time of the 1861 Census.

The 1871 Census reveals that Mark was now farming the 47 acres of Jepson’s, his father having died in 1863. The 1869 Slater’s Directory also shows that Mark was now farming the land.

Mark died in 1880.
