Florence Mangnall was born in 1857 in Prestwich to Anne (HM184) and William (HM120) . At the time of the 1861 Census she was 4 years old and living at Clark’s Hill in Prestwich with her family.
The 1871 Census shows that Florence was still living with her family at Clark’s Hill and was still a scholar. Her father had died in 1868.
According to the 1881 Census , 1891 Census and the 1901 Census Florence helped her sisters to run a school in their home at Taintree House in Audlem, Cheshire where they lived with their mother. In 1914 it is recorded that Miss Florence Mangnall had a Private School in The Grange, Green Lane, Swanbach.
Florence wrote a will which she signed on the 6th January 1907 which I have transcribed. Probate of the will was granted at Chester on the 19th August 1913.
Florence died in 1913 aged 54 and was buried on the 21st February in the plot where her mother was buried in Audlem Cemetery. The grave (grave 160 row 11) has a large cross for a headstone and contains the remains of :-
