Ann Mangnall was the daughter of Robert Hartley Mangnall (GM028) and Judith Porter (GM200). She was christened on the 11th July 1852 at Manchester Cathedral.

The 1871 census shows that she was 18 years old and living with her parents at 4 Factory Brow, Tetlow Bridge, Crumpsall, Manchester. She was working as a cotton reeler.

Ann married Edward Jacques at St Oswald’s, Collyhurst in Manchester on the 8th December 1878. By the time of the 1881 Census she and Edward were living at 33 Piercy Street in Broughton in Salford. Edward was working as a “Printer Lithographic Writer” .

Ann and Edward had the following children:-

  • Robert E., b.1879;
  • Ada, b. 3 August 1885, d.14 Mar 1967;
  • Lily, b.1892;
  • Herbert, b.1895;
  • Arthur;
  • William.

Ann died on the 8th February 1915.
