Richard Henry Mangnall was born in Westhoughton in 1895 to Richard Mangnall (FM128) and his wife Ann.
At the time of the 1901 Census, Richard was living with his parents at 714 Wigan Road in Westhoughton. Richard married Sarah Walker in 1921 and they had the following children:-
- Granville Henry (DM274), b.1923 (RoB Bolton 1923 Q1 vol.8c p.643);
- Irene A (CM042), b.1927.
