Dorothy was born on 26th January 1903 in Burnley (RoB 1903 Burnley Q1 Vol.8e p.214 ?) to Fred (EM001) and Beatrice (EM028).
At the time of the 1911 Census Dorothy was living with her family at 42 Sunderland Street in Burnley.
In the 1939 register it shows that Dorothy was working as an Assistant Sick Nurse in Kingston General Hospital (160 Beverley Road, Kingston-upon-Hull). The nursing register for 1948 shows that Dorothy’s enrollment number was 10907, she had enrolled in London on 26th October 1945 with “Rule 10 (1)” qualifications and that she was living at 316 Padiham Road in Burnley.
We think that she married Alfred Broadley in Burnley in 1954 (RoM Burnley 1954 Q4 Vol.10b p.1003). We also think that she died in 1958 and was buried on 11th August 1958, at the time she was living at 8a Back Palatine Square in Burnley.
